37 Weeks and the Nursery's Almost Done!

Well, we've made some good progress on the nursery. It's pretty much complete other than we're waiting for the rocking/glider chair to come in and we're also planning to hang some picture frames on the wall.

We hope Blake likes it; we sure do!

Same stuff just from a different angle. Here you can see the door we put in connecting our bedroom to the nursery; it'll definitely come in handy for all those 2 a.m. feedings! Oh, and notice Roscoe found his hiding place in Blake's room already (under the crib). :)

Inside the crib; of course all the stuffed animals will find a new place in the nursery once we start putting Blake in there.

And finally, the baby bump at 37 weeks... wow! It's really getting big!

We're certainly happy that we're pretty much all prepared for Blake to arrive -- the nursery's livable, the mini-crib is assembled in our room, the car seat's installed, the bottles are washed, and our bags are packed for the hospital! It's all a good thing because the doctor says she thinks he could arrive early. We'll just have to wait and see...

35 Weeks: Baby Shower at Enzo's

On Jan. 9, my wonderful sister (with some help from my wonderful mom, I have a feeling!) hosted a baby shower for me at Enzo's. Thanks to their tremendous generosity... and the generosity of all my family and friends... and to Enzo's great hospitality... the shower was just perfect!

33 Weeks: Baby Shower at the Donlin's

Many, many thanks to the girls and their moms for coming to the baby shower brunch on Dec. 27th. Your company and generosity is always appreciated. We've been friends since high school (can you believe it?!) and I don't think there are many groups of friends as close and as sincere as ours.

And, a very special thank-you to the Donlin's for hosting the shower... there's something so natural about a party in your home. :) In all seriousness, thank you for your continued love and friendship; it's very much appreciated.
