16 Weeks: It's a Boy!

We went for the 3D/4D ultrasound on Friday, August 28, and they confirmed that our little one is a boy! We are just thrilled.

In this photo, you can see the little guy's face. His left arm is reaching across his body. You can also see that he's clearly a boy in this picture. Oh, and don't worry, he has feet... the ultrasound sound waves just aren't catching them (I asked the question!).

Here's another "boy" picture. You can see his right leg and butt, but his left leg must be in the air somewhere.

As you can see in this photo, the little guy fell asleep during the ultrasound.

Here you can see him looking straight forward. He kept his hands near his face almost the entire sonogram.

Here he is sucking his thumb.

And, this is his side profile.

These past few weeks have been very exciting. I started to feel him move at 15 weeks... very early, I know. Also, my baby bump has started to show. That's all for now... we'll be sure to post some photos from his 20 week sonogram in a few weeks.

12 Week Ultrasound

On Wednesday, August 5, we went in for a routine ultrasound at Winnie Palmer Hospital. Thankfully, the sonographer said the baby's looking good.

During this scan, the sonographer shared some exciting news with us. She said she was 65-70% sure the baby is a boy. She also said that the baby has very large hands and feet and very long legs... not a surprise coming from our two families!

In this picture, you can see the baby's side profile. The baby's head is on the right side -- if you look closely you can see the forehead, nose, lips and chin.

Here you can see the baby's hand; the little fingers are on the side of the baby's face.

And here, you can see the baby's "long" legs and "big" feet.

The baby's 2.3 inches long in these photos. In two weeks, we're going for a 3D/4D ultrasound, so we'll get to see how much the little one has grown. Look for an update then....
